Artist Susan White will demonstrate the process she uses to create a sculpture from the thorns of a honey locust tree, one of the most reviled trees in the Flint Hills. Attendees are invited to bring a thorn for Susan to use in the process of making the artwork.

This annual bicycle ride will take you on an adventurous ride through the Kansas Flint Hills.  This year, riders will pick their own route, over gravel roads, on pavement, or a mix of both.  Registration begins at 7:30am at the Alta Vista City Park, the ride starts at 8am.
