Bell Choir at Volland
December 4, 2022
JuBellation Bell Choir from the St. John Lutheran Church in Alma, Kansas
2pm | Cider and Christmas Cookies
Free will admission for the Bell Choir
Start your holiday season at Volland with a performance by St. John’s JuBellation choir.
The concert marks the second time the group has shared their talents at Volland, and we are delighted to welcome them back!
A free will offering will benefit the JuBellation choir, and Volland will provide hot apple cider and Christmas cookies. The retail table will be up for early holiday shopping.
The bell choir will play an assortment of Advent and Christmas tunes. Jamie Rogers and Pastor Grimm will jump in and out to add trumpet and guitar for select pieces. Bring your best caroling voice for the last few songs!
The JuBellation choir has also generously offered to stay after the concert and show their bells to those interested. We hope you join us for this wonderful opportunity as the holiday season begins to ramp up!
The sound of the bells will fill you with joy!
….and they did! The bell choir played to a full house
Kindness was evident as the room filled to capacity and beyond. Every chair was filled, individuals adjusted to make room for more and more guests as they arrived – and some sat outside on the porch to listen when there was no more “room in the inn” – without a complaint. The sound of the bells filled the space, and the group singing of carols was heartfelt and enjoyed by all.
As Inas Younis says in her article in the Kansas Reflector, “When we cultivate a communal culture of kindness within the public realm, we create a social destination for people to have face-to-face interaction.” That is our hope for Volland.
Thank you to everyone who attended!
Please note: Volland’s Winter Break begins December 5. We will reopen in February 2023.
Have a wonderful Holiday Season – and may your New Year be filled with good health and great happiness!
See you next year –
